How can a man who gave up making films decades ago because he's so awful at it possibly have an opinion about films.... met him a number of times..even in a local pub... he looked at everyone at the table and asked if anyone was going to buy him a pint.. then he talked a load of BS memorised from pulpy film critique books trying to pass himself of as an intellectual.....

When we went to Machu Picchu part of it had been closed by the authorities as a result, we were told, of Dennis Hopper having used the site for his film "The Last Movie" (that the New York Times called "a gigantic ego trip") and in the process had destroyed some artifacts.

I’m from Florida, never been through a major hurricane as of yet! “knock on wood “ but watching this documentary, trouble the water was elevating. I mean the good hearts of these people throughout it all, just made me appreciate life and people so much more. What compassion kim, scott, larry and many others had for the resident of Louisiana. God Bless Y’all….

this is 37 minutes of making accusations about environmental racism while offering nothing to prove any of it. Association is not causation. People in the Kashmere Gardens supposedly got cancer in greater numbers because of groundwater contamination even though no one in that area gets water from the ground there for over a hundred years. It's just fabricated accusations with zero proof in hopes of getting some free money

This is a delightful interview! Connie please do a 3 hour version of this! I am a dancer (not professional) but when I was a teenager and training Merrill's book and description of Balanchine and how he worked and influenced lives changed my thinking and the way I worked as a dancer and would love more!!

I loved the film and this interview so much! As a mom and grandmother who performed in the punk rock era, I loved hearing the story from the perspective of the daughter. I was literally looking at what movies to watch in general, and this was all today when I was bored. Came on RUclips typed in “Black movies 2002” and somehow this movie came out. I was intrigued, clicked on it to watch the preview. And hours later here I am watching Shults interviews lol. Funny how time, destiny and fate actually work out as a result of the decisions we make.

Easy Rider was a hit because it hit the zeitgeist if the '60s at the right time. Nicholson and the soundtrack were the best things about it. Last Movie is an abysmal, self-absorbed mess. I'm glad I saw it, but I didn't enjoy it. I think for all his "method" acting talk, Hopper was best when he played an edgy unpredictable character close to his own personality and experience (eg. photojournalist in Apoc Now). He did not appear to be an "actor" capable of creating much diversity or uniqueness in a variety of individual character types.

I have watched this film three times,and I plan to watch it again. It’s authentic and real. The music,the screenplay,the direction and production are flawless.

I just finished watching Trouble the Water by Kimberly-Rivers Roberts and Scott Roberts. Very enlightening on what they went through with Katrina. I cannot wait to see Fear No Gumbo.

I not normally one to quibble but this interviewer is just shit , he hasn’t seen the movie and doesn’t even have a general idea of what The Last Movie is about Alex Cox is always interesting and at the least the guy asking the questions was respectful
